According to Singapore Technologies Kinetics (ST Kinetics), development of Intelligent Control Devices could prevent a fatality. This device that uses vehicle telematics, guarantee its users safety, convenience, and fleet manager. It is both hardware and software that provide real-time information from vehicles as they operate under varying conditions. The main feature of intelligent controls is Asset Management. This feature keeps track of vehicle location using Global Positioning System (GPS), voicing out directions of the destinations and alert users of any unusual traffic conditions. Only this feature requires internet connectivity, activate it by connecting to the internet. Next, the Intelligent Control Device enters the GPS cloud mapping system, the data is turned into information that transfer to the reporting management tool that estimates the position of a vehicle. Such information is important as it may prevent an accident occur. On the other hand, it could improve waiting estimation for a commuter in public transport. On top of Asset Management, ST Kinetics Intelligent Control Device able to perform drive system optimization. Drive system optimization ensure drive train efficiency under varying load and terrain condition and fuel consumption, by using Intelligent sensing mechanism to optimize transmission. The system is also versatile as the engineers could remotely upgrade the software effortlessly. 
One special function that breakthrough other vehicle telematics device is it also does reduce potential breakdowns by engine monitoring to prevent vehicle resulting to be tow and demanding commuters to ride on the next bus or train, which is so annoying and easily preventable by using ST Kinetics Intelligent Control Devices. An example to rely on Intelligent Control Device would be to think of a vehicle that was equipped with this technology, automatically triggers Collision Warning to prevent mishap and save lives. To save time from waiting in transportation, to save cost and labor from engineering maintenance. Intelligent Control Device from ST kinetics is the answer to it. It is going to be the present and the future for vehicle transportations.

An increase in demand for this product rises as casual drivers, Singapore Mass Rapid Transit(SMRT), Land Transport Authority(LTA) and Singapore Bus Transit starting to own this unit. However, ST Kinetics do have a vast amount of competitors, for example, Kinesis Telematics from United Kingdom (UK), etc. They provide telematics servicing too but at a higher cost comparing to ST Kinetics in a long-term, as it requires subscriptions to a monthly payment. Without an Internet connection, servicing program from Kinesis Telematics will be turned off, whereas only the Asset Management feature of ST Kinetics is turn off, the Intelligent Control Devices are still able to determine vehicle wellness. Moreover, a local network is more accessible and reliable compared to connecting telematics service from the UK. By evaluating this, we had a clearer picture of our objective, which is to save cost in short-term and accepting the risk of losing internet connections or by paying a little more for a unit of Intelligent Control Device that prevents an unfortunate incident from happening. In Conclusion, ST Kinetics Intelligent Control Devices outclass most of the telematics devices, and it is one of the best in the market that provide main features of vehicle telematics with special features and definitely supporting local product might be more reliable than the uncertainty from the worldwide.
